the real thing

Authenticity--The real thing. Whatever is genuine + true. Authenticity is a fruit in the garden of purity of heart. It does not go out of season. It isn’t fabricated nor added to. There is no measure--no ceiling or floor, but rather just resides at the inner core. We were designed to both encounter and host authenticity. It attracts the heart of God because it's what He IS. John 1:14 says that the Word became FLESH, meaning that it became authentic. Before the eyes of humanity, the written Word of God was physically birthed and became genuine. It was Jesus, and He was real. Both literally and figuratively, real. Perfect authenticity does not willfully replicate or function as anyone else other than the Father, Himself. This is exactly what the life and the ministry of Jesus displayed. This very nature is what my inmost being craves at its deepest well of capacity. There is so much simplicity and holy reward found in just ‘being’. Being real, being honest, being vulnerable, and being YOU. We weren’t created to overcomplicate the nature of our hearts. Real and genuine connection, conversation and relationship is what we were intricately woven together for. To receive or accept anything at the surface is to rob yourself of FULLY accessible and PAID FOR depth. We must plug ourselves up the life source of authenticity, that is Jesus. We breed what we are connected to. Detach from the counterfeit, guard your heart from the phony, and latch onto the real thing.
